Spirit of Place

These shots are from one of the 13 hidden crypts in the temple of Hathor at Dendarah. Note the strange "energy beams," the cables running from the box on the ground to the "flower" and the strange lizard being directing the action. Also take a look at the snake staff the fellow behind the lizard man is holding.

Here's a close up view of the lizard creature - the posture with the knives indicates teaching or communicating. This creature is not part of the Egyptian pantheon and isn't found anywhere else.


 
This is a shot of another one of the crypts - this one, as you can kinda see from the ladder, is about 10 feet off the floor - and was originally behind a hidden door.
carving 4   Note the snakes in the middle of the beams - and their resemblance to... electricity, kundalini, etc. The object with the little arms that looks like a ceramic insulator is a "djed" also called the" backbone of Osiris." It symbolizes stability and power.
